Giving Tuesday

Whether it’s through farmers markets, food education, or food access initiatives, Project GROWS is at the forefront of growing a healthy community — and your generosity makes this possible.

This month, in response to SNAP uncertainty, we’ve been able to participate in the Virginia Fresh Match Harvest Special. Through this program, folks use their SNAP to pay just $1 to receive a Harvest Box with $20 of fresh fruits and vegetables, all sourced from local producers. Over the past two weeks, we’ve distributed 38 boxes at Gypsy Hill House and Elizabeth Miller Gardens.

The gratitude has been overwhelming. One parent shared:
“I didn’t know how I was going to feed my two sons this month, and this has been so helpful. Thank you all so much!”

Giving Tuesday is the perfect time to support healthy food, community, and equitable food access. Help us reach our goal to raise critical funds for programs like this!
